The Blizzard of 2011

I don't know if I've ever seen a storm quite like this. Pretty amazing. At least Kaleb had the day off...there was no chance he was going to get anywhere and everything, including CarMax, is closed down. His job tomorrow at work could be pretty interesting as the store tries to clear snow from all of its lots and over 1000 cars. That's right folks...OVER 1000 cars! Imagine clearing your car after a blizzard and multiply it by 1000! Crazy. Here is a few shots from out house.

Fortunately the fees we pay to our condo association covers snow removal of the main areas. We got by with this little shovel for our patios....but I think it looks pretty tired out...don't you?

Rodney Atkins - Watching You

Here is a youtube clip of a fun Atkins song. His concert was really great (see next post) and his vocals live were impressive. After this song at the concert he pulled a kid from the crowd on stage to sing the chorus. The kid couldn't have been older than six or seven...pretty brave!

Night out for the 30th Bday

Along with some great gifts and surprises, Kaleb took me out to a hockey game and a concert for my birthday this year. The Admirals ended up winning 8-1. Pretty exciting game....however, I did not realize how much fist fighting was condoned in professional hockey. Really??? Can't we all just get along. Can we say Anger Management Issues???


At the Bradley Center, after the game, a stage was set up for a Rodney Atkins concert. I thought it was weird to combine a game and a concert...but it was really fun. Great concert!
