Thankful Thursday

Just a little tool to help me remember to have a little gratitude!!!

1. My mom. She really is the best. She recently had surgery and I am sooo grateful she is doing well. I really don't know how I could make it through the week without a few phone calls to my best friend! Love you, Mom!

2. I think every week I mention how grateful I am for Kaleb. I have to say it again this week! Lat night was his birthday and the poor guy spent his bday in the E.R. with me and my ridiculous migraine. I really love you, Kaleb.

3. I'm grateful for Jack's desire to have ballet slippers just like his sister! LOL! I love how little one's are still so gender neutral and uninhibited! hey, Jack, if you love to do ballet moves...you just kick and leap your little heart out! Love you, buddy.

4. I'm really grateful for Alex, my youngest brother. It is pretty awesome to have someone really understand what you go through on a day to day basis. Love you, Al....Tibet here we come! :)

Happy Birthday Kaleb!!!

Since it is past midnight...I can wish my hubby a Happy Birthday! Kaleb, I hope that you have a wonderful year...filled with all of the things that you hope and pray for. You are the most compassionate, hardworking, hilarious, and supportive husband. I'm so glad we are still best friends and I am looking forward to another year with you in my life! Even though I know you are beginning to hate the number associated with your birthday...I hope you enjoy your day!

I LOVE YOU!

Jelly Belly Tour

Kaleb and I took Macie and the girls to the Jelly Belly Factory for a tour. To be honest, the tour is pretty lame...but Meela loved the train and we got some great deals on Jelly Bellies!

Meela endured the long and very boring rants of the tour guide to get a great picture with the Jelly Belly train's engine!

Here we are at the beginning of the tour. Obviously we are so happy to be wearing our Jelly Belly hats! Very cool! :)

Kaleb thought it was just great that he could snap pictures of Macie and I in our lovely JB hats! Thanks, Kaleb.

The Khan's are here!

My sister Macie and her two girls, Meela & Kamryn, have been staying with us during this past week. It has been awesome to have the girls visit from Minneapolis, and I thought I would share a few pics!

Meela and Kamryn took a trip to the mall and had these gorgeous pictures taken!!!

Buiser got a haircut!

Yes, I realize I am posting a blog about my dog's haircut....get a life, right! Well, he is cute and the haircut was an "experience"....so you get to see pics! Left is the Bruise Man in the car before his cut and below is the near naked Bruiser! Yikes...we didn't know how short this "puppy cut" was going to be! Oh well, it is too expensive anyway...so now he has a few months to grow his hair back out before we have to do this again!

Honestly, I never thought I would say it...but I really like having Bruiser around. He is pretty good company and keeps life interesting for Kaleb and I.

Tonight Bruiser was upstairs with me...buried under a blanket while I worked on the computer and we waited for Kaleb to get home from work. I heard Kaleb set his car alarm out in the parking lot....surprisingly Bruiser heard it to! At the sound of the alarm beep Bruise crawled out from under the covers and started running around like crazy until Kaleb got in the house! Pretty amazing that he heard and recognized the sound! He's a funny puppy! We love him!

Thankful Thursday

Okay, okay, so I did one Thursday and then fell off the wagon. I guess I need to work on gratitude!

1. Most of all I am thankful for a supportive husband.
2. I'm thankful for Jack, Lou, and Cass! I missed seeing them Sunday and had to stop by Monday night for my "fix" of the cuties!
3. I'm super excited for Macie and Vij to come for a visit with their girls...so grateful they are able to take time to come see us!

Taking Advantage of a Birthday

I apologize for not updating for a while. With school starting again (I am taking night classes toward my Master's in Counseling) I seem to not have a minute to catch up!

However, as the title of this blog states...I did celebrate my birthday a few times during the month of January! I guess as an adult you can stretch the birthday for a few days!

On my actual birthday, Kaleb brought home flowers and cooked me a fantastic dinner.

He also picked out a really cute clutch (great taste!) and surprised me with tickets to the Bucks game. We enjoyed the game the night after my birthday.

The weekend after my birthday we spent an evening with our friends, Scott and Adrienne, and my brother Andy and his wife Katie. (Baby Cassiday came out to party as well!) We enjoyed an awesome dinner at Fujiyama, my favorite sushi and hibachi restaurant. Thanks for an awesome night!
